Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers (POs) in State Bank of India. Candidates selected are liable to be posted anywhere in India.
Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer, is required to register online for the Recruitment Process. The examination will be held in two phases – preliminary and main. Candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for main examination and shortlisted candidates in the main examination will subsequently be called for a Group Discussion & Interview

Essential academic qualifications
Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before eligibility date as given in related advertisement.
Age limit:
Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on eligibility date as given in related advertisement.The Relaxation of Upper age allowed for various categories are as under:

Revised SBI PO Salary:
The revised /initial starting basic pay is Rs.23700/- (4 additional increments will also apply) in the pay scale of 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 (revised as on 1st June 2015) applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale – I. The official will also be eligible for D.A., H.R.A., C.C.A & Special allowances.
