8000 Teacher Vacancies in Army Public Schools

Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) invited applications for Combined Selection Screening Exam for filling up vacancies of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) & Primary Teacher (PRT) in various Army Public School (APS) for academic year 2017-18.

There are 137 Army Public Schools(APS) located in various Cantonments and Military Stations across India. These schools are administered and managed by local Army authorities and affiliated to CBSE through Army Welfare Education Society(AWES).

Eligible candidates can apply online from 17-08-2016 from 09.00 AM to 13-09-2016 till 05.00 PM.

Total No.of Posts:

There are approximately 8000 teachers on the rolls of these schools. Out of that, approximately 2000 get turned over every year due to various reasons.

According to sources, after the implementation of the 7th pay commission which is planned to get functional from early 2016, the salary structures of the school teachers will experience a major hike. Now, the projected salary of the trained graduate school teachers will become around Rs. 29,900 – Rs. 1,04,400 (Basic) along with grade pay of Rs. 13,800. This will make the entry net salary of the teachers around Rs. 51, 420. And the other allowances will also be gradually increased.

Age Limit (As on 01.04.2017)

Fresh Candidates – Max 40 years (except for NCR schools where TGT/PRT should be max 29 years & PGT max 36 years)

Experienced Candidates – Max 57 years (min 5 years teaching experience in the last 10 years)

Selection Process:

Selection/ Recruitment Process will consist of Stage 1st (Screening Exam), Stage 2nd (Interview) & Stage 3rd (Evaluation of Teaching skills and computer proficiency). Score card will be given to screening exam qualified candidates which will be valid for 03 years to take teaching position in any CBSE recognized school.

Application Fee:

Candidates should pay Rs.600/- (non-refundable) through Debit/ Credit Cards/ Net banking/ Bank Challan.
