Pay Scale: Cost to Company (CTC):

The CTC for a Sub Lieutenant would be approximately Rs. Rs 74,100/- to 90,600/- per month. This includes Basic Pay, DA, Grade Pay, Military Service Pay, House Rent Allowances, Transport Allowance, Ration Allowance and kit Maintenance Allowance. These rates are likely to increase post implementation of 7th CPC.

In addition to the CTC mentioned above, Navy provides free medical facilities for self & dependents, LTC, Canteen Facilities, Entitled Ration, Mess/Club/Sports facilities, Furnished Govt Accommodation, Car/Housing Loan at subsidised rate.

Leave Entitlements:

On Commission, officers are entitled to 60 days annual leave and 20 days casual leave 40% rail concession to any place and free travel (as per extant rules) for self and dependents. Leave during training period will be as per the Training Policy in force.

Mode of Selection:

  • SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam during Nov 16 to Mar 17.
  • SSB interview will be conducted in two Stages. Stage I test consisting of Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion test will be conducted on the first day of arrival at SSB. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II tests comprising of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 days).
  • Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be appointed for training as per all India merit depending on the number of vacancies

Training is scheduled to commence in Jun 2017 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. After training candidates will be inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant.

Selection Process:

The selection process will be carried out in two stages, the first one is Preliminary Examination &  second stage is Main Examination conducted by IBPS.

Educational Qualifications:

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online. Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

HOW TO APPLY:

Candidates can apply online only from 22.08.2016 to 12.09.2016 and no other mode of application will be accepted. Pre-Requisites for Applying Online Before applying online, candidates should—

  1. scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm) and signature adhere to the required specifications as given in Annexure C to the Advertisement.
  2. Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.
  3. keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges
  4. have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the completion of this round of Common Recruitment Process.

Since recruitment in clerical cadre in Public Sector Banks is done on State/UT-wise basis, candidates can apply for vacancies in any one State/ UT only. Consequently, a candidate would be required to appear for CWE in any one of the centres in that particular State/UT.
