Age Limit & Relaxation:
Candidates Age should be less than 27 Years as on 01.09.2016. The upper Age Limit will be relaxed by 05 Years for SC/ST and 03 Years for OBC Category as per Government norms.
Educational Qualification:
Library Information Assistant: Graduate in Library Science from recognized University or Institute
Technical Assistant & Stenographer: Candidates should have completed Senior Secondary (10+2) Level of Education from the recognized Board or Institute.
Forest Guard & Multi-Tasking Staff: Candidated, those possess Matriculation (10th) pass certificate are eligible to apply.
Selection Process:
Selection of the candidates will be based on Common Written Examination, Computer Skill Test followed by Typing Test (if applicable) conducted by the competent authority.
Salary Scale:
Selected candidates will be placed in Regular Pay Scale as follows –
Library Information Assistant: Rs. 9,300 – 34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200/-
Technical Assistant & Stenographer: Rs. 5,200 – 20,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 2,400/-
Forest Guard & Multi-Tasking Staff: Rs. 5,200 – 20,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 1,800/-
Apart from this the candidates will entitle to get DA, HRA & other allowances applicable as per Government rules.

Application Fee:
Candidates have to pay non-refundable Application Fee of Rs. 200/- through Demand Draft. The DD should be drawn in favour of “Director, Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat“. No Application Fee for SC/ST/Female/PWD candidates.
