Education Qualification:

SI (Master):

  1. 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University, and;
  2. Second Class Master Certificate issued by the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department.

SI (EngineDriver):

  1. 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University, and;
  2. First Class Engine Driver Certificate issued by the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department.

HC(Master):

  1. Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent.
  2. Serang Certificate.

HC (Engine Driver):

  1. Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent.
  2. Possessing llnd Class Engine Driver Certificate.

HC (Workshop):

  1. Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and
  2. Industrial Training Instituted Diploma in Motor Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine) Machinist/Welder/Carpentry/ Electrician/ Fitter/Air conditioner Technician/Electronics/Plumbing/Upholstering/ Painting from a recognized Institution.

CT (Crew):

  1. Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent.
  2. one year experience in operating of Boat below 265 HP;
  3. Should know swimming and possess a certificate to this effect from a recognized institute/swimming pool/any authority to give such certificate.

Method of Selection :

After scrutiny of applications, eligible candidates will be issued with admit card to appear in the Competitive Written Examinations. Those candidates who qualify and get shortlisted in written competitive examinations will be required to appear for document verification in Mumbai. After verification of documents final list of selection will be published. Centers for the written examination will be notified later on this web site.

The Written Examinations will be conducted as follows :
Tier-I: Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice type)
Tier-ll: Written examination (Descriptive type)
